Hi, wow, what an awesome FREE plugin! Thanks!

Please may I ask one thing… could you make a new page template that matches the content widths of the Default template, but has a “cover template” header? I’ve used the layout options for Twentig, but it doesn’t replicate the same width, i.e. headings as wide as the content.

    Hi @jonnimunki,

    Thanks for your message.

The default template has a title width of 1000px on desktop and a text width of 580px (or 700px or 800px depending on the Text Width option set with Twentig). The cover template also shares the same widths.

Do you mean to have a cover page with the heading and text constrained to the text width?

Or a cover page with the heading and text expanded to the theme wide width (1200px)?

Hi, for some reason my heading gutters or padding change when I change to the cover template from the default one. That’s the main thing. i.e.
If you look at the demo of 2020 the headings and columns are usually “wide width” and the paragraphs are normal width. Has a very nice effect and flow.

    Hi @jonnimunki,

The cover template and the default template should have the same widths for their heading, paragraph, etc. The heading is wide on the Twenty Twenty demo homepage because an alignwide class has been added to the heading block. You can do it by adding this class in the Additional CSS Class(es) field of the heading block (under the Advanced section).

By default, the width of the columns block is set to the text width. You can set it to wide by clicking on the wide icon of the columns block. https://wordpress.org/support/article/columns-block/#block-toolbar

If you still have an issue with the layout, could you please share the URL of your website?

Thanks for the feedback and for sharing your ideas. We’ll consider them for future releases.

    Have a nice day.

If you enjoy Twentig, please leave us a review. We’d really appreciate it.

    Hi @jonnimunki,

We’ve released a new version of Twentig, which includes an option to set a custom hexadecimal color for the primary color. You can find this option in the Colors panel of the Customizer.

    Have a nice day.
