if the ads are not working then this is very likely not because of the plugin as it can only insert ad code.
If you enable remote debugging and provide website address I can diagnose the problem and propose solutions.

The funny thing is that the ads are working for the before post and after post. but not for the between posts. 😛

Hello, to enable remote debugging please go to the last tab (gear icon), tab Debugging.
Well, the reason is that this position for automatic insertion is not available because your theme generates homepage in such a way that the hook on which Ad Inserter relies on (the_post) is not called “between posts” as seen on the page but many times before the post excerpts are written.
I have created a PDF file showing available positions on homepage – where the hooks are called:

Therefore, this has nothing to do with the plugin, it’s not a bug, but a limitation (or feature) of your theme:

However, it should be still possible to insert between posts with special features Ad Inserter supports.
I mean insertion before HTML element, but this may be tricky to configure if you are not familiar with HTML and CSS code.
Please open a ticket if you would like me to try to configure the plugin for this kind of insertion.
