thank you page disappeared

    Hi!

    When my customers payed at the check out page (/winkel/afrekenen/) of my webshop https://www.wandelstokkopen.nl , they get redirected to there shopping cart (/winkel/winkelwagen/ , at that moment a blanco page, because there are no anymore products in it)… How can i get them to a thank you page or something like that?

    Im pretty sure that the thank you page has always been part of my website. Could it be that this page suddenly disappeared with the woocommerce update to 7.5.1?

    I can’t find the settings of setting up a thank you page anymore in woocommerce..


    Can somebody help me how to fix this? Because, besides it isn’t customer friendly, also my conversions are not tracking anymore?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    I understand that after an order is placed on your site, customers are redirected to the cart page instead of the Thank you Page, correct?

    By default, after an order is placed, customers should be redirected to the Order Received/Thank you page similar to the image below. Here’s the URL for your reference: https://mysite.com/checkout/order-received/5497/?key=wc_order_SLNtrFojgDANH

    Please navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Checkout endpoints and make sure that the Order received has the order-received endpoint listed:

    If yes, please try to switch to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled, create a test order and see if you are redirected to the Order Received page after?

    If so, then this kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

    If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

    If this did not resolve the issue, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

    You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

    If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Thanks for you help!

    The basic settings of woocommerce, thankyoupage, are good. As in order-received is filled in.

    Furthermore I tried your other suggestions to solve the problem, but unfortunately this doesnt help the problem. Still if a customer made an order, he/she gets redirected to the cart page instead of the thankyoupage.

    There arent recently fatal error logs.

    Hi xue28 (woo-hc),

    In the settings of woocommerce, by order received, the normal setting order-received is filled in. So this is how is should be.

    Furthermore i tried en tested all your other options, but unfortunately this doesnt help. Still if somebody payed at the checkout page, the customer gets redirected to an empty page of the cartpage…

    There arent any fatal errors logs.

    Hi @twanvh1990

    Thanks for sharing the requested information above.

    Just to confirm that you’ve already switched to the default Storefront theme and only WooCommerce plugin is enabled, created a test order, and still you are redirected to an empty cart page, correct?

    Can you please check if there are any custom code on your site and if so, please disable it temporarily?

    Furthermore, please clear all transients listed below under WooCommerce > Status > Tools:

    • WooCommerce transients
    • Expired transients

    In addition, this could be due to caching. Can you please have your host purge the site cache as well?

    After all of these are performed, once again, please make a test order using the built-in Cash on Delivery and see if the issue has been resolved?
