Support » Plugin: Gutenberg Blocks by Kadence Blocks – Page Builder Features » Thank you for full flex containers support

  • Hi there
Thank you. You did it again! It is a little bit late but not too late. Question. Will you make the same video as Elementor did ? We have to have a big picture and a tutorial about how to convert to new flex containers. I am requesting video tutorials first for services sites as these sites are the majority of websites. How to properly (with responsiveness) structure a block with six infoboxes in a new minimalistic flex horizontal style? Buy the way will you update or add into Design Library most popular blocks with flex containers like standard six infoboxes of standard services website?

  • Hi,
Thanks for the review. Kadence Blocks is not like elementor in that there is not a big speed improvement by using sections instead of a row layout. The row layout was already optimized and using flex box. So there is no need to update everything the same way elementor is suggesting. The row layout is not going away and will get more improvements in the next major release.

Certainly, you can save a little dom size by using one section and nesting info boxes directly into that section but it’s minimal and won’t make much of an impact on your actual site speed. Nesting sections inside of sections to create a layout won’t improve anything over using the row layout block, so generally, if you want a column layout the row layout box will be the best option.

There are instances where a section nested in a section makes sense and you can create some more custom layouts using sections in sections but it’s not something you should do it’s only something you can do if you need something specific. For example, if you want one column to be a fixed pixel width and others to fill the space, etc.

We will be putting out a tutorial soon. And we will be updating sections in the design library over time.

    All the best!

    Ben

    Hi, @britner

I am a little bit confused by “Kadence Blocks is not like elementor”. I hope you will add some video tutorials explaining the differences and I hope to see a video about how to structure a six services infoboxes block the best way (including responsiveness) in the current version of Kadence Block (+Pro).

In some, it was a good update. It is always good to have different options to structure webpages.
