    I’ve made two $1 test donations in production mode. The donations are shown as completed in my PayPal account. I received notification of the donations from PayPal. The thank you page from your plugin was successfully returned and accurate. Two tests of the the send test email were successful.

    However, no thank you email was received for either transaction. No donations or donors are listed under donations or donors.

    Can you post a URL to the page where you’ve placed the shortcode? It looks like the IPN from Paypal isn’t firing (which seems to be happening a lot lately.)

    BTW, I just noticed there’s a v2.3.0 so I’m updating although, per the changelog, it doesn’t look like that will fix this.

    I’m not sure why, but a few people seem to need to set their IPN URL in their Paypal account profile. If you already have something in there don’t change it, but let me know what it is.

    That worked, Allen. Got the thank you email, listing in donors and donations updated, registered in the log with IPN activity.

    For anyone else, you can find IPN settings in My Profile > My Selling Tools > Getting paid and managing my risk > Instant Payment Notifications > Update.



    Glad to help – I am curious – was there anything already in that field?


    No, I didn’t have IPN turned on. I have another plugin – Olimometer – for collecting a different kind of donation last year and thought maybe IPN was enabled for it, but it wasn’t. It uses my API credentials. It appears now I may have a conflict between it and yours talking to the same PayPal account. I’ll have to look into that later.
