One idea for a possible update in the future would be to have an option to overlay the caption text on the images themselves.
At the moment if caption=true then the caption text is positioned under the image.
It would be really cute if you could have small white text on the image itself. An example would be when you want display copyright of the photo – you don’t want it too big, or to take room on the post.

Given the simplicity of the plugin and the high level of variance in theme styles, I don’t think that is something I’d add. However, it wouldn’t be a difficult thing to do and if you have a site where you want to do that I could take a look and recommend some styling.
