I really like this plugin but it’s not working for my 2 sites. I’ve installed the plugin on my sites then I used the option ‘send email to old comments’ but no email was sent to my commentators including NEW comments. I still leave it activated for 2 weeks, reinstalled it but still it’s not working. Can you give me advice on what to do and if possible what are its plugin incompatibilities? This is a nice project that’s why I want this on my sites.

  • Hi,

Sorry to hear about the plugin not working.

    Just a few points:

    • Are you able to normally send email from WordPress? Ie, do you get “new comment” emails if that is enabled?
    • Do you receive the test email? (Look for “Send sample email to”). If not, replace you message with a simple text one, and see if it works. Some ISPs (mine) will not send emails which have too many links.
    • Are there any emails in “Scheduled emails”?

If you are unable to fix your problem, please comment back with some more info – ie, your version or WP, PHP, MySQL and maybe the other plugins you have activated.

I am receiving notifications when there is new comment including the test mail feature of the plugin. There are a total of 1,800+ records on the “scheduled emails” of the plugin. I am using thank me later 1.5.2 on WP 2.7.

By the way, my PHP version is 5.2.5 and SQL is 5.0.67. I am using the following plugins:

    add to any,all in one adsense and ypn,all in one seo pack,cforms,contextual related post,crosspress,simple tags,statpress reloaded,wordpress mobile,simple:press forum,widget cache,wordpress mobile

Thanks for updating the plugin! It’s working for my sites now!

That’s good to hear. Hope it’s been worth the wait šŸ˜‰

I’m sorry to have to submit this. This is for the ‘Thank Me Later’ PLUG-IN. I’m new to this, so please forgive.

I like this plug-in, but I’m trying to create personal message to the user once they leave a comment.

Can someone explain to me how to use the variables with the email?

I want to also send this in HTML possibly a img/logo…

I just need to know how to insert like the post title, author name, stuff like that… I tried <$POST TITLE> and it didn’t insert the varible, just what I typed [not what I wanted]…

if anyone has any examples to provide- Iā€™d really appreciate it.

    Sorry for the stupid question.
