  • Have read and followed the basic WP tutorial on image wrapping. Have stuck the stuff recommended into my “style.css”. However it did nothing. The text is right up against my image and the image is left justified despite my setting it to right justified.

The WP tutorial on text wrapping needs clarification also as some parts are missing. Exactly where do I stick the stuff for example?

    I put it under body {

For general CSS issues, try posting in forums that specialise in CSS, such as

@gallienus53 – Is this what you read?

When you add an image, this is all you need to do in the settings for that image:

When adding the image in your WordPress blog, select the image alignment as right, left, or center in the Image/Media Panel.

If you are trying to do something more complicated, only then might you need to add anything to the style.css file.

please post a link to your site, pointing to a post or page with the image alignment wrapping problem.

Thank everyone for all the help. I’m new to this WP stuff & the forums

to Andrew Nevins – saw your CSS items and in future will post there

to WPyogi – yes yes that’s what I read. I did select image alignment to the right, it didn’t work. Then I put that “stuff” in my style.css file and selected image align to the right -still didn’t work.
It did work on a new page I’m working on tho. So went back to 1st page, deleted image & then reinstalled it & it still didn’t work.

to alchymyth – Unfortunately site is on a web developers server which requires a log on and stuff let me see….
They haven’t been able to resolve the issue & anyway I guess I’ll have to maintain the site once they’re finished with it & I pay them. I’ll move it to my own servers:
Currently what’s there isn’t WP tho.

Is the problem on the first page you linked to? It seems to be working okay — it’s floated right and the text below it is wrapping around it. Or am I missing something or is the problem on a different image?

Actually it now works. I can see what they did: they expanded this grey wrap around to 1″ beyond the pix.

I found it: it was under advanced settings for the pix.

    Thanks very much.

It stopped working. Now it’s published on the web and I absolutely cannot control text wrapping around images. I see lots of code to possibly include in the CSS but no mention of where to put it nor what it does.

For an example of one of my typical messed-up pages see:
