Text Widget Won't Display HTML Correctly

  • My blog (a Dexter fan-site currently in the middle of development), won’t display HTML correctly using the WordPress text widget. The HTML is fine since it displays correctly here if I link the HTML file:

Here’s an image of how the HTML looks on my WordPress site in the Text widget:

    And here’s the HTML:

[Large code excerpt removed by moderator. Per forum rules, please use the pastebin for all large code excerpts. It works better anyway.]

I’ve tried endlessly to get this to work correctly in the Text widget. Any ideas? You can test the HTML yourself if you want. I’m using WordPress 3.0.1 and a custom template. Just a note: This is regarding a (currently private since it’s in the middle of development) WordPress blog called DexterCorner. Any help is appreciated since I’ve spent hours trying to get past this roadblock in the site’s development.
