• I’ve got users reporting to me that some of the editing buttons in the text widget (headings, text colours and so on) don’t work, but it only seems to be happening on Windows 10, and it seems to have something to do with the latest version of WP.
Anyone else have this problem and are there any workarounds or fixes in the offing?

  • I’m using Win 10 and WP 4.8.1 on a number of sites and I’ve not had any problems with the Text widget. Have you checked to see if these reports are specific to a particular web browser? Do you still have problems if you switch to the default theme? Or deactivate all plugins?

    Thanks for the reply.
The problem was actually on a pagebuilder text widget, not the WP one – I thought they were related because of the recent changes to the WP text widget. And I got confused because the problem only appeared on certain devices.
As you suspected, the pagebuilder plugin was causing the problems. It hasn’t been updated for a long time so I suspect it’s now dead.
    Many thanks for your input.
