# Text widget does not parse php

 * Hi all! There is a calendar script I wish to use, but I would like to use it 
   in a sidebar widget or any widget for that fact.
 * So I figured I could edit the header.php to call for ther style sheet and other
   javascript and then I could just simply drop a text widget into the side bar 
   and add the code to call for the calendar to show up. However when I did this
   the php code did not parse so therefore no calendar showing up where I want it
   to.
 * So, is there a workaround for working with the widgets??? I know how to insert
   it manually into a “copied” template or into the body of a page, but I would 
   really like to load it into a widget using area.
 * All help appreciated…Thank you

 * Consider downloading and installing [Otto’s PHP Code Widget](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/php-code-widget/),
   then put code in one of those widgets.

 * Just to let you know that a very nice person over at EPC wrote a nice widget 
   today just for that particular calendar and it worked perfectly!!! He will be
   refining it so it has more options but look for it soon.
