Text running into dark color on background (8 posts)

The text on my pages is running into the dark-colored part of the background. This wasn't happening before -- I'm not sure if it started occuring because I updated the build of Startup WP, but I'd love to fix it and have a *little* bit of white space at the sides of the "text area." I'd also like to keep the sides of the background a dark color (it will go with my blog).

Also, related to this -- my text now looks too bunched together. It used to be more readable. I've been using Arial 4 (14 pt) as a font, since that was declared the most "readable." Does anyone have ideas on this? As it stands the lines seem to be on top of each other.

Here is my site (I'll make it "public" when I solve these problems).

I should note: I'm a complete beginner, so am not conversant with rewriting or "manipulating" CSS code.... (I can obviously "patch" or replace elements, though!)

Thanks MUCH to anyone who responds,
    Ed

I'm sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme's developer/vendor. We do not support commercial themes here.

I didn't think a free theme was "commercial" (I didn't pay for it). The rules 'round these parts are fascinatingly circuitous.

    Thanks,

1.) I'm using the free version of the theme and ignored/didn't know there was a pay one.

2.) I noted in the post above I'm a beginner. Those of us who are not in the field cannot distinguish between which themes are made by which companies. It all looks WordPress-ish to us neophytes.

P.S. That other forum solved the problem. Thanks!

For 2) Don't worry, we can do that identification for you.

Simple rule of thumb: if you didn't download the theme from http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ or via your Appearance -> Themes -> Add New page on your site, then we don't support it and you need to contact the theme developer directly.
