    Hi!

It seems that the text pattern for code (the backsticks) doesn’t work in the latest trunk version (I’m on 4.5-RC2-37173). The user “transl8or” has found the problem (Test Environment is on a Dreamhost subdomain running PHP 7) and I can reproduce it. I created a gif so you can see it: https://cldup.com/kCMHvfDrAo.gif

    Hi,

Thank you for the report, I’ve been able to reproduce the issue my self as well (it does work, it’s just temperamental and doesn’t -always- want to work).

I’ve created a ticket for it at https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/36459 which you can follow to keep track of the issue if you’d like.

We do mark threads that have an associated ticket as resolved so that we know which tickets still need a keen eye, as such I’ll mark this thread as resolved and continued discussions around t he issue should be had through the Trac ticket.
