Text instead of share icons in featured posts on front page

    Social media icons work fine in header. On featured page area on front page, under the photo is my excerpt then the text “Share this:Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Share …” rather than the actual icons.
    The icons are on the actual full page.

    Hello,
    what’s the plugin you’re using for the sharing icons?
    Can you share a link to your page?

    Customizr has the social links section so I don’t have a separate plug in.
    As I said, they work fine on other pages, including the destination of the featured page section.

    Nope,
    customizr has social links but not social share links.
    That “Share this ..” below the posts or pages is part of jetpack.

    ok but there is still something about how the featured page on the front page is pulling in the info from the page. It shows just fine on the actual page. It is the featured part of the front page that is the problem.

    That’s ’cause featured pages text is the filtered content of the page if you don’t have:
    1) Filled the page Excerpt
    2) Filed the featured page text box in Appearance -> Customize -> Content… -> Front Page -> Featured Pages

    They not supposed to show the jetpack or whatever plugin share links.

    There are various workaround for this.
    Of course point 1) or 2) or even make your page content a bit longer.
