Thanks for your question and for including links to your video, the example page and your own page; very helpful.

The “wristbands” example page looks like it was created by a page builder tool, perhaps Visual Composer. The text that pops up on hover comes from the figcaption tag in each figure tag within some sort of gallery display. This effect is implemented by Javascript code in the composer tool and/or theme. This type of effect is beyond the capabilities of the MLA plugin.

You can do something much simpler with MLA’s [mla_gallery] shortcode by adding a title attribute to the gallery items, as outlined in this earlier topic:

    Change hover effect gallery images

You can use [mla_gallery] to filter the Media Library by taxonomy terms, custom field values and many other selectors. You can combine [mla_gallery] with many other gallery display plugins/shortcodes such as Photonic Gallery & Lightbox or the excellent Justified Image Grid for more sophisticated display formats.

I hope that gets you started on a solution for your application. I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have problems or further questions regarding the above suggestions. Thanks for your interest in MLA.
