I’ve a brand new installation of WP 6.1 and I’m using Twenty TwenthThree Theme. There’s a problem: the strong and italics tags don’t work when you visit the website through a computer but only when you use your smartphone.
I haven’t been able to replicate the issue on my test site so far. Here’s a screenshot from my computer:
To troubleshoot further, could you please answer all of these questions:
Are you able to provide a link to your site?
How did you add the bold and italics formatting to your text? Did you use the formatting toolbar in the block editor as in the screenshot below, or did you add them some other way, and if so, how?
Do you also have the standalone Gutenberg plugin active? If yes, what version is it?
What font are you using?
Do you have that same font installed on your computer?
What browser/version, and operating system are you using on your computer?
Is the issue present with all your plugins temporarily deactivated? You can use the Health Check plugin‘s troubleshooting mode for this, which will not change your live site. If the problem goes away, reactivate your plugins one by one (while still in troubleshooting mode) to find the culprit.
There have been some issues with Source Serif Pro on Windows machines, reported in Twenty Twenty-Two so I wonder if you were encountering something similar in Twenty Twenty-Three. See this ticket for more info:
I won’t be able to submit a bug report until you’re able to answer the rest of the questions I asked:

As well, please try temporarily uninstalling Source Serif Pro on your computer to see if the issue is resolved. If so, we’ll know that the issue is the same as the one reported for Twenty Twenty-Two, and we can provide that information in a separate bug report for TT3.
