Once someone uses the Calendar Export to iCal, the whole text that is provided for an event is imported into his/her calendar and – for some reason – can’t be changed.

Is there any possibility to use only Excerpts for the calendar export-function? I could not find any settings for this?

So you’re wanting the Post Excerpt to be used instead of the Post Content for iCal.

There might be a filter you could hook into. https://theeventscalendar.com/function/tribe_events_get_the_excerpt/ may be what you need, but I’m unsure.

You can definitely reference our Themer’s Guide for a way to customize it to your liking, though.
