I have not yet installed wordpress (i am a newbie, and so i am first checking that my system has all requirements before i download wordpress), and i have a question. I don’t think my laptop has a text edit program pre-installed (i am a windows user). i do see that there is free edit software available online for download — notepad++ is one. i want to be certain before installing, however, that the editing software will be used to support my use of wordpress, rather than having to be familiar with how to use the editing software(if the latter is the case, what would be the easiest text editing software you could recommend for a newbie — it does not necessarily have to be freeware)? thank you very much! Even the most basic Windows installs normally include NotePad. The text you enter in a post to show to everyone. 2) Templates – Your theme. * Ne’er the twain should be confused 🙂 * Edit templates in text editors ONLY. NEVER EVER in Word.
