    Hi Tobias,
Happy to see you’ve taken Tablepress to the next level and that you created tiers to get some income from it (you deserve it).

Question: When I edit a table just straight, without opening advanced editor, even a simple text edit results in the cell being replaced with the word “undefined.” Is this expected behavior? Thanks!

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

No, that’s not the expected behavior, of course 🙂

I’m would almost bet that you are using a browser extension like “LanguageTool”, correct? That has been responsible for several such reports in the last few weeks, see https://wordpress.org/support/topic/editing-content-renders-content-indefined/ . However, they have also already released an update that should have fixed this. Can you maybe check if you are using that latest version?

Hi Tobias. Yes I have LT for Firefox. Last update they did –according to their website–was 2 months ago (version 6.01). I trid a fresh install and it still is interfering, so I’ve just disabled LT on this site. Will just keep an eye out for the next update and hope they fix it.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

oh, indeed. They haven’t updated their version for Firefox in quite some time :-/ The other users used Chrome, I believe, where the LanguageTool extension received more and faster updates.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

I had the same issue with Firefox and disabling LanguageTool fixed it. Thanks @benchwarmer and @tobiasbg.
