This was changed in TinyMCE 4 (which WP upgraded to). It’s still there, though 🙂
but how do I add my own HEXA colors? All you are showing me is the set colors. I want to add my own. That option is not there anymore.
Similar problem here – how can I match text colors to an existing blog when the option has been removed?
Is anyone else having this problem? What happened to the ability to pick your own colors?
I just posted the same thing. This is a huge disaster, just like funkiplanet said. I am missing all my old colors.
I hope this get’s fixed quickly. It is definitely a needed option.
Funki – by chance did you lose your dropbox of font sizes too? I lost that as well……
I didn’t, but I lost a lot of buttons from TinyMCE – however – they are there if I mouse over them, I just can’t see them. Do you have this?
No, I don’t see anything that doesn’t appear until I mouse over it.

Is this an issue in Chrome specifically?
I don’t think so. I just reopened WP in Explorer and same issues (missing all my old colors, missing font size dropdown box).
No Andrew – it’s also an issue in Safari.
I also just did a google search on this to see if I could find any solutions – sadly, no – but I did see many other complaints on other forums about the loss of the color picker…..I really hope WP will fix this soon. Those dozen colors are far from sufficient.
I agree theblondemovement – we need our color picker back! I suppose we could do it with HTML from the text editor, but that seems so 1994, doesn’t it? We used to do that in computer class.
See http://alisothegeek.com/2011/05/tinymce-styles-dropdown-WordPress-visual-editor/ for how to customize the WordPress tinyMCE editor to use your own custom styles and code.
