Text box that will allow me to show HTML

Hi! I’m not sure if I’m in the right place, but I’ll give it a shot.

I need a text box for WordPress that will allow me to SHARE an HTML code. I want other users to be able to copy a very simple HTML code and paste it on their own website.

I’ve tried using <textbox> tags, I’ve tried installed certain plugins that wound up not working, and I’ve tried simply posting the HTML code in the Visual field. (The last one showed the code correctly, but when you copy and paste it, it adds more characters…namely, random extra quotation marks and the letter A. Odd.)

All I want is for people to copy and paste the HTML for a button on their own websites. Does anyone know how I can do this?
