Hi, Peter. Many thanks for your work on this plugin. It’s excellent.

I’d like to exercise more control over the location of the menu trigger.

How would one trigger the menu by linking text with HTML instead of relying on the icon button functionality? For example:

    Trigger menu by clicking <a href="#" class="menu">here</a>.

Is that kind of thing possible, and if so how?

Also, is it possible to set up the shortcode so that the menu icon button is placed on that baseline?

  • Hi Justin,

    Thanks for your ticket submission.

The ability to use a custom trigger will be added to the next version of the plugin.

In regards the baseline of the menu button, you can certainly overwrite that using the style.css them file.

I am marking this topic as resolved as the solution will be released in the new plugin version hopefully out early next year.

    Many thanks

    Peter

Thanks, Peter. Looking forward to the update.

By shortcode and baseline I mean using the shortcode to make the menu icon/text/button appear where the shortcode is used – similar to the trigger text effect but expanding the custom location appearance beyond text to include the icon.

    Hi Justin,

When using the shortcode it does require you creating some overwriting styles.

For example you will need to create styles in your themes style.css file that will overwrite the positioning from absolute or fixed to relative or similar.

I would advise you to play around with this until you get your desired output.

    Many thanks

    Peter
