    I've read on http://contactform7.com/styling-contact-form/ that you can style fields with...

    input[type="text"],
    input[type="email"],
    textarea
    {
    background-color: #fff;
    color: #000;
    width: 50%;
    }

    While text and email accepts the formatting change, unfortunately, textarea is not changing. Even tried input[type="textarea"] but that doesn't work either. Trying to get it black to blend into my footer at http://108.163.194.218/~mcsnp05/

    .footer
    input[type="text"],
    input[type="email"],
    textarea
    {
    background-color: #000;
    color: #fff;
    }

    Please advise. Thanks!

    Fixed it... I have to add the .footer class to each line

    .footer input[type="text"],
    .footer input[type="email"],
    .footer textarea
