[Resolved] Text and Visual buttons missing above Kitchen sink

  • Hi,

I upgraded to 3.9.1 yesterday and since have been unable to edit posts via the Text edit option.

Each time I create a new post the Visual/Text buttons appear briefly above the kitchen sink for half a second before disappearing. Similarly, a number of the icons on the kitchen sink are blank or missing.

I can see that they should be there, as I highlight the area where they would normally be and I can see a small rectangle that isn’t covered by the highlight.

I have no idea about coding, but I use the text editor to insert a concatenate formula from Excel.

I’ve tried the following steps to resolve this issue to no avail:
    – Deactivating and reactivating plugins.
    – Edited user preferences – checked “Disable the visual editor when writing” and then unchecked again.
    – Changed to a different theme and then back again.
    – Using a different browser.

Any help you might be able to provide would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Josh

  • Just to confirm, you have tried switching to the default theme, deactivating plugins, and then reactivating one by one while checking the issue each time?

    Hello both,

I reattempted the above steps in isolation again, and it seems now to be resolved after changing to the default theme and back again.

So thanks for your input. This look like a swiftly resolved issue!
