First, thank you so much for this plug-in; I appreciate the simplicity of it, especially leaving the styling up to the site’s css.

Installed tonight, and appears everything is working except for the cycling. The first quote will load & display on the page, but when I check the console, I get the following error:

Uncaught ReferenceError: testimonials is not defined

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello simplyshang,

Thanks for using our plugin and the kind words. I run a few tests here to see if I can replicate this problem. In the meantime, would you mind answering a few questions?

    1. Are you using the widget or the shortcode?
    2. What versions of WP and the plugin are you using?
    3. Do you have testimonial groups setup or are you using them all?

    Thanks for taking a look!

    Here are the answers:

    1. Using the shortcode
    2. WP v3.3.2
    3. I have a testimonial group set-up & am using it; although I did try running it without a testimonial group & got the same result & error.

    Hi simplyshang,

That’s a strange one that we haven’t seen. I’ve actually been testing this plugin for hours today as we’re getting ready to release an update, and that’s one issue I haven’t run into.

I did experience problems when trying to embed more than one testimonial per page, which is expected, at this point, because the plugin will only accommodate one testimonial area per page (widget, template, or editor)

    A few more ideas:

    • Could you find a time that to quickly disable all plugins except the testimonial plugin and see if it makes a difference?
    • If the above allows the plugin to work, re-enable your other plugins one-by-one until it breaks again and let us know which plugin had a conflict.

    A few more questions:

    • What is the exact shortcode you’re using?
    • Should work fine with 3.3.2, but is there a reason you haven’t upgraded to 3.5 yet? It’s awesome. 🙂

    Hey simplyshang,

Just released version 1.3.4 of the testimonials plugin. I’d encourage you to upgrade as there are several bug fixes/improvements.

Then, let after you’ve troubleshooted a bit, let me know how it’s going.

    Cheers,
    Eric
