Test site for a church (8 posts)

I have just started working on using WP for a "simple" church site and am testing off my computer. I would appreciate any feedback including criticisms/suggestions. Currently trying to adjust the Event Calendar and display an ascending future event category under "Parish Activities".

My current snag is on displaying a single event with:
    previous_post('« %','','yes', 'yes')
The final 'yes' I thought should display the previous post in the same category, but it doesn't seem to work properly. I get the feeling from searching that it does not currently work. Is this true?

    Oh, the test site:

It's obviously Kubrick and WP 1.5 with continued hacking of the defaults. If the site goes live somewhere, I'll put appropriate credits back in - strong believer in giving credit where credit is due.

Too tired to do anything but say nice job on the site - so how did you get the current navigation to highlight for each page?

Aside from tht query, it's look good and I like what you've done with the sidebar. Really good structurual make over for Kubrick

It is code similar to this:

    Root: Nice to "see" you.

Noticed a few have clicked on the link above (from my error logs). It has since gone "live" at http://www.stjohnsboulder.org (wish I could change the link above ;-)

any reason you haven't upgraded that site to 1.5.2, or at least

It is on my to-do list, updating others currently, and not looking forward to upgrading this one as lots of core files were edited ;-)

Now that WP is where it is, I hope the future holds a functional events category so I don't have to rely on plugins (some are nice but they have serious limits) and hacked files.

The site looks very nice. I wish I knew how to make horizontal bars. Maybe someday.
