If you deactivate the plugin, activate it and then upload again, you should have it solved.

Thanks, I deactivated, refreshed, reactivated your plugin and re-imported. The extra profile field ’email’ was removed, but another empty field appeared in extra profile. No name. I had deleted my test import users and reduced the import to the most basic user information, i.e. Username, Email, first_name, last_name. That empty field still appeared. It’s still there after going through the motions (deactivate/reactivate) re-import again.
Can the extra profile information and field be removed via the database? If so I can proceed with the import of the other 1000 users.
Also I tried to some columns and map them to existing custom fields in the user profiles, but the fields didn’t map, they were created with the same field names in Extra profile information. This just for your information. Would like to be able to import only the most basic user info without creating ‘Extra profile information’ with field.

Currently is not possible to deactivate the extra profile fields. If you want to support this little develop we can do it.

I got rid of that extra profile field by deactivating AND deleting the plugin. Then installed again.
Removed the test users. Set up a very simple csv file with those basic 4 fields and started importing >1000 users. Had to do it in batches of about 200 at a time, the script timed out otherwise. When everyone was in,and no extra profile field appeared.
Regardless of trials and errors, your plugin saved us a ton of time. Next time I’ll approach you for your professional services and get all custom fields populated too. Thanks.
