THIS IS A MANAGED WORDPRESS SITE, AND I FOLLOWED THE STEPS OUTLINED IN THE STATEMENT BELOW ” ” NONE OF THIS HAS HAPPENED AS STATED, IT HAS NOT ACKNOWLEDGED ON MY SITE, IT IS STILL NOT SECURE.

“WP Force SSL helps you redirect unsecure HTTP traffic to secure HTTPS one without the need to touch any code. Just activate Force SSL and everything will be configured for you. The entire site will move to HTTPS using your SSL certificate.

To keep things fast & simple WP Force SSL is very lightweight – there are only two settings.
Access options via main Settings menu – Force SSL.

THREE FAST STEPS TO GET YOU STARTED:
Get an SSL certificate (yea, you need one, sorry).
    Activate WP Force SSL.
    Test certificate & you’re done!”

I TESTED IT AND THIS IS WHAT I GET: cURL error 35: error:14077438:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:tlsv1 alert internal error

MANUEL ROCHA KINDLY EXPLAINED TO ME IT IS AN INTERNAL ERROR AT THE SERVER, I AM NEW AT TROUBLESHOOTING THIS CRYPTIC ERROR MESSAGES, TWICE I HAVE TALKED TO SOMEONE AT GODADDY SUPPORT CHAT ???? NO RESOLUTION. NOW MY SITE SITS AFTER 4 DAYS MORE WORTHLESS THAN IT WAS.

  • @fredlwood as I stated on last support request, this is a server related issue and not a plugin. As You pasted here, the steps to implement the plugin is as simple as that.

If GoDaddy support doesn’t answer to You the best I can do is advise you to look into another provider that can give you proper support. This is wrong configuration at the base server. There is nothing more we can do about that. Sorry.

Manuel I appreciate your response to my complaint, because of you i didn’t give up but kept pressing Godaddy, then……Spencer from Godaddy.com came to my rescue. He talked me thru the problem with my ssl loading, evidently it had connected, but in the interim when I was waiting for the ssl to show, in my frustration i logged on to my site to look at it, in the hopes of seeing something i could do. evidently i set up a page that had some code in it that mimiced the ssl or something. it locked my site up, i lost the ability to log in, He evidently followed my rekeyed ssl all the way thru and found where it locked up, on that page, gave me a way in and I fixed the mistake. Although this mistake occurred 3 or 4 days out from the original purchase, which had slowed up for some reason, yet this mistake was the only thing holding up my rekey and recert. Nevertheless, KUDOs to Spencer at Godaddy. Problem fixed.
