Test email rendering doesn’t match real email

Hi,
I’ve been using MailPoet post notifications for a long time in conjunction with MEC Calendar plugin to show events.

I recently added a new event to the calendar, but it is not rendering at all in the actual emails that are being sent out.

Here is the event in the Post Notification Editor:

Here is the result of sending a test email. You can see it is omitting an image that is shown when editing.

All of the previous events have always worked and rendered in the emails, but I’m scratching my head with this one because it works when sending a test email, so I don’t know what could actually be different when it is sent out for real.

This event is over tomorrow so I’ve already missed my opportunity to notify my subscribers this time, but I’d like to figure it out for upcoming events.

My newest events are still not being displayed on outgoing post notification emails.

I notice that lots of issues have been addressed since I first posted this, so is this issue a known bug that there is no answer for and that’s the reason for no response? I’m unable to alert my subscribers about upcoming calendar events and don’t have a clue how to resolve this.

Could someone please respond?

Thank you for reaching out to MailPoet Support and sorry for the late reply. It seems that your email got lost in the backscroll.

I am not able to replicate your issue if I try to create a post notification for a custom post type (as events) on my test site.

Could you please reach out to the developers of the plugin that is creating the events on your site and verify this info?

– The custom post type (event) has the ‘exclude_from_search’ => false
– The events are public and visible
– During which hook (it should be ‘init’) do they register your post type?`

I asking that because I think that maybe the post is not publicly available and searchable and that’s why it is not being shown in the email.

I wish I had information on this, but the people over at MEC haven’t seemed to find the time to respond to me yet.
