You deliver your plugin with a German translation. Unfortunately you mix it with formal and unformal syntax.

Almost eacht sentence has a wrong syntax or grammer. You can’t used it. I have to translate each sentences – ok this is my job.

My suggestion: Delete the .po/.mo files

Our German translations have been provided by members of the WordPress community. I am not fluent in German myself, so I do not have the ability to say whether they are “good” or “terrible”. I simply have to trust whatever is given to me.

I will not delete the translation files. People have been very kind to share them with us. Deleting their work would be going backwards, not forwards.

This is an open source project, so if the translations are not perfect you are welcome to improve them yourself. If you want to share your improved translations with us, we will be happy to incorporate them. In this way, everyone benefits.

Thanks for your fast answer. I understand you very well. You can keep your plugin as it is although it’s not my suggestion.
As you can see I ordered two of your plugins and I made the right translation for myself. I hope you know that WordPress offers the formal translation also for languages who has this grammar issues. It ends with “_formal” of -po/-mo files.

But please check your whole plugins of connected strings to your translated files. I found a lot of these strings, they are translated but your plugins still show the English version.

    Best regards,

PS: Your plugin is professional and your translations should show this too

I think the question is solved since in the nearest release the language files for German translation will be updated.

    Thank you Thorsten
