Temporary Domain Name

    I had a website through WordPress.com and I switched to WordPress.org, hosted with BlueHost. I used the same domain name as my old WordPress.com account, but I did NOT want to transfer any of the old info/blog posts/etc from the old account. I was starting over with a new website, and simply wanted the same domain name.

    When I launched my site, it remained with a temporary domain name as the website address and my old domain name (which I wanted for my new site) is still directing to my old site.

    I contacted BlueHost and they said that I need to contact WordPress and ask them to send my A record to 162.241.253.63. But I have no idea how to contact WordPress to do that…haven’t figured out any way of contacting them, and don’t really even know what it all means. What is my “A record”?

    How do I get my new website (which has already been launched) to have my domain name?
