    Hi

I’m getting the following error message within my wordpress admin panel. It has been there since I installed the plugin about 4 hours ago.

“There are temporary connection issues. Please try again later or go to Google Analytics website to see the dashboards”.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling and disconnecting and reconnecting the Google Analytics account information, using the auto connect.

I’m using both the most recent version of the plugin and wordpress.

Any clues about how to make it work? Thank you 🙂

  • Hi @littlebeedesign,

Thank you for reaching out and letting us know. We’re sorry you’re having issues with our plugin at the moment!

It seems that this error occurs when too many people are using Google’s Dashboard API. We are currently talking to Google to find a possible solution. It shouldn’t affect your GA visitor statistics so you

I will be sure to update you once we find out more on our end.
If you have any other questions please feel free to let us know!

We’re having the same issue. Is this hosting related? Anything we can do to fix it so we can see our stats?

    Hi @creativeslice & @littlebeedesign,

Great news! Google recently got back to us and lifted our current API quota. You should no longer see this error message and your analytics should should up!

Hi everyone, if you are seeing this message in 2.1 please wait a couple of days for all users to update. Google is showing this error when a lot of users are accessing the data so it will go away soon.

Just to remind everyone, this doesn’t affect Google data and all pageviews will be captured properly.

Wait a couple of days? Thanks but no thanks! I would rather uninstall the plugin, leave you a one star review and install another one! If you can’t fix it asap then you will lose people who use your plugin!

    Hi @mernion,

Thanks for getting back to us! We’re in the process of fixing this issue, but you should be able to see your dashboard soon. With all our users updating to the latest version we are seeing an abnormally large request on our end for the first few hours.

The requests should subside and we’ve also reached out to our Google representative to increase the quota as well.

If you continue to see a connection issue please do let us know!

im see that error last 3 days, got latest plugin and wp

This problem has NOT been resolved. Here is the error:

There are temporary connection issues, please try again later or go to Google Analytics website to see the dashboards.

When are you planning on fixing this issue? Thanks.

    Hi @mataleo & @lightwing,

Thank you for reaching out, I’d be happy to clarify here.
I can confirm that we recently received an acceptance by Google to lift the limit on our API calls. This should help to resolve the current temporary connection issue you’re seeing now.

If you happen to still see it, please let us know so we can go in and debug on our end.

Thank you for your patience and hope to continue to provide awesome support!

    Hi, Brandon:

I can report that the bug has cleared on my end. Data is displaying. Thanks!

    Hi @lightwing,

So great to hear! If you have any other questions please let us know 🙂
