    I have tried uploading the templates as per the video but am getting the below message – 

    Import WordPress
1:1 Start tag expected, '<' not found

There was an error when reading this WXR file
Details are shown above. The importer will now try again with a different parser...

Sorry, there has been an error.
This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number
