[Resolved] “Templates” Feature Issue with Suffusion theme.

  • I am trying to use the Suffussion them on the site Bikesltlax.com. But a having issues with the healine, excerts and catagories features under templates. First no matter what features I turn on or off (show/hie) in the section nothing changes on my front page. The slide show works great and then under it is a list of recent blog posts. I would like some help o figuring this out please.

What I really, really want is to have three differnt boxes (side by side with thumbs and excert displaying) under the slide show each tied to a different catagory, then a recent post section under that as list, but I have no clue where to start. Similar to the AArras them, which other wise was a total failure for me.

Other wise this has been a grea theme to workwith. Any help is most welcomed!

  • Unfortunately I can understand very little of what you are asking. Are you saying that you made some setting changes on Blog Features -> Templates -> Magazine? If you want to see those changes in effect you have to create a new page and assign it a magazine template from the “Template” drop-down on the right side of your “Edit Page” screen.

That now makes sense. I thought they affected the front page! is there anyway to affect the posts that appear on the front page?

Once you have created a page using the Magazine template, you can go to your admin menu, then select Settings -> Reading and select the page you created as the front page. That way your magazine template-based page will be the front page of your blog.

Thank you very much for all your help! I am loving this theme!
