Template pages not showing up

I’ve added a few custom page templates to the MistyLook 1.01 theme that were slight variations of the regular page template. When I first created them, they show up in the list of files when I go to edit them via the admin panel. After repeatedly editing and saving them, they randomly disappeared from the list. Whats odd is that I can type the filename in manually in the URL and it will load the file, and from there I can edit and save normally.

The new templates also do not show up in the list of available templates when editing a page.

Is there a specific thing that WordPress looks for when using the template files? I have ‘Template Name: <name>’ in comments at the top of the file.
