• Hey everyone,

I have a little problem with uploading a template to my WordPress.
I tried a couple of methods, but it all fails.
First I use a FTP-program to upload the template to the wp-content/themes.
This wasn’t a succes! (I uploaded it without the directory file as told by the tutorial from WordPress) Second try was to upload the ZIP-file at WordPress. Themes>New>Upload…

The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/myusername/domains/mywebsite/public_html/wp-content/uploads.

I also unchecked the box for saving the files on month & year base.

I think that Artisteer is making a mistake when saving my file to a WordPress-template. Because when I upload it with the FTP-program it shows up at the themes-section. But when I apply the theme, it doesnt look like it should be. Many things are missing! Who can help me out?

    greetings, Roxanne

  • you must have a folder inside: wp-content/themes/YOURTHEME
Then, ftp all template files into the folder.

Thanks for your reply! But I tried that too…
    It doesn’t work..

Edit the permissions in wp-content/themes, set it to 777 in order to get the files up there.
I guess you can do that with your FTP-client

I already tried that too! I really guess its something with the coding, because I do see the name of my theme in WordPress. But it looks different when I apply the theme.

Maybe this will give you an indication of what I mean.. (Thanks again!)
