I set up a template for a client and it’s been working fine for at least two weeks. I get an email today saying that the template is messed up. I look and see this:

I’ve looked the stylesheet and main index template over and over and cannot find the problem. When you view an individual page, the entry is too small. I took all of the sidebar items out and the page when back to semi-normal, but the main post area looked way too big. I don’t believe it’s the sidebars, and I have a feeling it’s got something to do with the main blog area, but I cannot get it go back. And I’m getting a javascript error, which is something that has just popped up.

Not sure what is going on, but I would love a good nudge in the right direction or some suggestions, because I’m completely lost.

Thanks in advance. ANY help would be appreciated.

  • First thing I’d try: re-enable the default theme and see if it’s wonky too. If it is, then it’s NOT your theme, it’s something else entirely. If the default isn’t wonked, then it’s something someone did to your theme….

Thanks for the super-fast reply. We’ve actually figured out the problem. The line break in one of his posts was way too big, and it was causing the main blog area to overextend to the right. I can breathe again now. 🙂

Thanks again for the reply. We can delete this post or mark it resolved.

Just mark resolved, if you please! That way someone else with a similar situation will find it eventually.

    Glad it’s fixed!
