Template for Single FAQ?

  • pmagony

    @pmagony

    Howdy,

    I’m a little confused and need direction. When I search for a keyword, and one of the results is an FAQ post, if I click it, I lose the templating on it.

    So I’m trying to find the php template in my architecture where I can properly mark-it-up with my template code, but I have no idea which it is.

    The body class is calling single, but I’m 100% certain that is not the single.php template that controls the individual FAQ because single is functioning correctly everywhere else it is being called.

    http://www.domain/faq/the-individual-faq-page/

    the above is my URL structure. What’s going on? Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Hi Pmagony,

    I have run into the exact same scenario as you. (Single FAQs don’t use the same template as the main FAQ page, or the single.php page.) Did you ever get this problem resolved?

    I found the answer on another forum…
    Create single-qa_faqs.php in your theme folder and this will apply to single FAQ pages.
