I’m trying to update the my-bookings.php file in my theme.

If I place my edited file in the parent theme it works fine (/wp-content/buddyboss-theme/plugins/events-manager/templates/my-bookings.php)

But if I try to add it in my child theme folder it does not work (/wp-content/buddyboss-theme-child/plugins/events-manager/templates/my-bookings.php)

I’ve even tried having the file in both to see if the child theme file would override the parent theme file.

  • Hello,

Sorry for the late response. I’ve tried testing this with a custom child theme and it does seem to work on my end. Is the buddy boss theme free? If Yes, Do you think We could get a link on where you download it?

Buddyboss is a premium theme. It’s available at buddyboss.com

I can send you a login to a staging site with it if you need to see the theme files.

I would need to know what email address to use for a login and if possible the ip address that would be used so I can whitelist it.

So I’ve discovered that some template files work as expected. I added event-single.php and it works in the child theme directory.

it’s only the my-bookings.php file that I can’t get to work in the child theme. I’m wondering if it’s the way that the theme is pulling that template as a sub item of the member profile. The url to the page it’s on is /members/jeremy/events/my-bookings/

I can try to get an answer from buddyboss support as well.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Would like to follow-up on this one if you received any reply from buddyboss support? Since it’s a premium theme and it only happens on buddyboss, We could only provide a very limited support.

If the developers of buddyboss have any suggestions that We should change on our code please let us know.
