• Hey All I need A LOT of help. The company that I am working for has our website hosted through another company. They uploaded MortgageCRM theme and some how they have disabled my ability to use plug-ins. When I select customize next to the theme it tells me that I can’t add anything. My employor wants to add a live chat and opt in pop up. I can wedgets and paste html into the “text” wedget but I wouldnt even know where to get the right code to make these things happen Please HELP

  • It sounds permissions got screwed up. You need to contact the hosting company.

I dont think that they want people to be able to add plug-ins, they told us in advance that we could not add extra plug-in (not sure why) but we didnt know which ones they alreay had. Turns out its only All- in-1-SEO. So I’m stumped, as to what I can do.

You have a terrible host. Swtich ASAP

In case switching is not an option, if you have write access to the installation, anything that can be done to alter WP functioning can be undone. If you can’t hack a fix, it may mean doing a clean installation though.

There’s a lot of things that can be done in the theme’s functions.php and templates instead of a plugin. If you don’t have write access and you can’t change hosting, you can’t effectively do your job and have a serious problem.
