Support » Plugin: All In One Schema Rich Snippets » Template and plugin styling, one issue

  • Resolved ckubs

Installed your plugin, functional wise it’s great but my theme it’s a little different(made like Windows Metro with some styles, every with it’s main color and the ability to chose additional article background colors) and I have an issue styling it to fit.

To understand me better I attached a photo with what it looks after the settings and how I want it to look. If removing the borders was easy by just an override in my theme’s custom CSS, I want also to put a little transparent space between template header and the content and I can’t do that. The whole box has a CSS class, the header has a CSS class but the content isn’t wrapped in one and I don’t know where or how to add it.

Thanks in advance for any help and one more thing. You did a wonderfull work with that and I vote too for adding article schema.

    Hello George,

What you are trying to achieve is possible with few customization in CSS of your theme. If you are a developer yourself, just apply the CSS rules in style.css file of your theme, so whenever we release an update of this plugin, your changes won’t be erased.

Since, its our plugin is open source, and we get lots of such personal customization requests – our support does not include customization and installation services and support for third party software and plugins

Though optionally, you can take a professional service from us only $15 / hour. And just FYI, the customization would approximately take couple or less hours to complete.

Please do let us know if you want to proceed..

As i said in my email reply I think every work needs to be payd and I’d be more than ok to do that but my problem is this , something that could take an maximum 1 minute and it’s much simpler than that. I need to add some code from all-in-one-schemaorg-rich-snippets/functions.php in a div(something like div class=”content” )but I don’t know where to start and where to end it. I must have first the CSS class to have what to style.

And plus that it could be also a nice thing to add in a future update of the plugin.

Ok, so I gues wether you didn’t undertand me and better than that I can’t explain or do I have to try and fix that myself(or delete the plugin).

Since problems bigger than that(wich it’s not actually a problem, the piece of code that outputs the content needs a CSS class to be styled independently from the whole box) got fixed here, I find it almost a crime against common sense to pay for that, a maximum 1 minute work(and that minute includes the whole process of opening the PC and wordpress admin that could take a good 40 seconds if not more).

Well.. Like I mentioned before.. We can’t provide free support for personal sites and third party plugins as we get lots of such requests everyday for our different plugins.

As you are a developer, you did a good thing by taking care of custom CSS changes yourself. Please make you you place that in your theme of not child theme – so your changes will not be erased in next plugin update.
