I am “fixing” a site for a client and he wants to add “Team Rosters” from multiple states and from several different sports.

    1. Is there a way for a representative of the team to submit a roster directly onto the website? (is Gravity Forms or S2Member a better way)

    2. Can the teams be sorted? For instance, I want to see all baseball teams from California or all basketball teams in Arizona?

So, I have a basketball team in Arizona. I go to the site, click on Teams. The State names populate. I click on the state and the the “sports” appear(baseball, basketball, etc…). I click on the sport and the teams appear in alphabetical order?

    Possible? Better alternative?

    Thanks

    Hi PWERKTR,
    Thanks for writing.

    1. You can upload a CSV file to the site.

    2. In the current version, you can filter the “All Players” admin screen by team. But unfortunately the teams custom taxonomy is not hierarchical, so you can’t set up a state structure like you describe.

Quite frankly the plugin was not envisioned for use in a context where there are so many teams that they have to be organized by state as opposed to a simple list of teams. It’s envisioned for schools and leagues with on the order of say a dozen teams.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you Mark. I figured that would be an issue. I do like your plugin though- nice work. I will simply need to do more work and thus charge my client more- not all is lost…

    Pete
