The thing that I do like about that blog is that 1st column (with posts) have only top and left border. Usually people have full all-the-way border around that column and it looks ugly when right column stops in the middle of the page, but left column continues.
The way you did it makes it different, removes that “problem” and at same time innovative 😀
I woudn’t say that colors you’ve used makes me happy, but seeing that you have official log there with those colors I understand, that you can’t just change it to something different and you are forced to use that green/purple…
Maybe try to change your bg color for #menu from #eee to #CCD9E6 or #A7C5DC. Will make it a bit more “fresh” imho…

Very nice design. I like the fixed background image and the green colors. I also agree with MaxT…the right menu is a neat idea.
Am I right in saying that the footer (and the credit) has disappeared?

@maxt – Thanks for the comments! I think I like the lighter blue. I’m going to leave it up for a bit and see how it grows on me…And you are right about the colors. I’m not so crazy about them myself, but since this is for Team In Training, I felt that not using their colors wouldn’t be “right”. If I can go back and find a skate with the right colors, I should be all set…

@root – Yes…and no. The footer element did dissappear as when I tried to incorporate it into my existing design, it was causing me too many problems at that particular moment, so I removed that section and placed a WordPress credit in the right hand column of the page.
