    Hi,
I started using the TCG plugin and it seems to be causing problems with being able to edit functions.php from wordpress directly.

I googled the error that you receive when trying to save the file after editing:
“Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.” and it seems the plugin may be calling session_start() unconditionally.

I suspect this is actually happening anyway because if I have TCG plugin activated it overrides my shipping site-wide even if it is deselected as a shipping option in the shipping zones.

Deactivating the plugin solves the problem immediately and I can write to my functions.php file again.

    Hi @charliesjc,

Are you able to try 4.2.1 for us? If this is still not working, would you be able to share staging login details directly with us at talent@thecourierguy.co.za?

    Hi,
I gave the update a spin and it seems to have solved the issues with not being able to edit my functions.php.

I see you have also fixed the problem where if you were trying to ship something outside of South Africa (in my case) it would always leave behind the dynamic TCG province field. That now goes away as it should, BUT the shipping insurance option still gets left behind.

    Hi @charliesjc,

The shipping insurance option removable from version 4.2.2.

You can get the pre-release here.
