    Hi,

I would like to add an Image to a newly created Taxonomy.
In another thread, you mentioned this Plugin: WP Term Images,
but it is outdated. It would be great if you new a non-plugin solution (functions.php).

Thanks in advance for your time & help,
    Harry

Since I assume you’re referring to https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-term-images/ I’ve gone ahead and done a quick review and despite not having an update for a few years, should still be pretty solid. I also know the developer and he’s also one of the people behind BuddyPress/bbPress, so I have inherent trust that the code is good.

I don’t have any sort of quick snippet code tutorials handy that can be dropped in a theme’s functions.php file, so at least at the moment, it’s probably going to be other plugin suggestions. I know, for example, that CMB2, which I also help support, has the ability to create new UI fields for terms. I am also pretty certain that Advanced Custom Fields can do the same. Both have updates more recent than the “WP Term Images” plugin as well.
