    Hi,
Is it not possible to have dropdown taxonomy menu on the right column instead of the default in a cpt edit admin page ?
Because i need a OR not a AND.
    thanks

Not quite following what you’re asking about. Can you clarify a bit more?

Screenshots may help as well, for what it’s worth, and I can provide an email to send them to if you need.

when you edit a new post that have a custom taxonomy, you can set the taxonomies values in a box in the right column. This default box allows to add multiple values but what i need is to add only one value, for instance with a dropdown.

    Gotcha.

Out of the box with WordPress core and taxonomies, it’s not readily possible. This is not a limitation of CPTUI, just how WordPress is in the current state.

However, it is possible as a whole with some custom coding. Not sure how comfortable you are with that option, but if you are a bit, I can provide some further ideas and links that look like they’d work.

    For example, https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/50077/display-a-custom-taxonomy-as-a-dropdown-on-the-edit-posts-page

ok but what i want is not adding this taxonomy with code (already added with CPTUI) but only add a hook that display the taxonomy id=.. in a dropdown.

maybe the other way id hiding it and using ACF to display it

Understood, but it’s still going to be a custom solution at some level, and alternatively you can use ACF if you’d prefer a GUI setup for it. You could pass “false” to the “meta_box_cb” field for the taxonomy in question to hide the default box as well. Regardless, in the end there’s no setting for CPTUI that will convert the metabox display to a dropdown.

thanks i must find a solution because i also need a conditional display for taxonomy. For instance if one element of the taxonomy1 has been selected, only shows some elements in the taxonomy2

ACF/ACF Pro may be the best route then, for those needs. Nonetheless, I hope you find a solid working solution for this 😀
