I have a custom post type called ‘costume-sale’, and within this a custom taxonomy to put the costumes into categories – ‘costume-categories’.
I have the following template files that work:
1. single-costume-sale.php – Displays a single costume post.
2. archive-costume-sale.php – Displays a list of all the costume posts.
The last thing I need is:
3. A template that lists the costumes by their category (the custom taxonomy). I have tried copying #2 and naming it all sorts of things that my Googling has suggested – taxonomy-costume-categories.php, and taxonomy.php most notably, but they both just pull up a 404 error.
I have Yoast SEO set up which shows the Breadcrumbs with the correct heirarchy:
Costumes > Costume Category Name > Costume Name. But when I click on the Costume Category Name, just like if you do so on the single post, I get a 404.
How do I set up a template for the categories for this custom post type?
