# Tax Exceptions?

 * I’m setting up taxes on WooCommerce, and the taxes charged will apply to the “
   shop base address” in my state. However, I have been told the only state’s tax
   rate to apply aside from mine is North Carolina. How can I have it charge taxes
   according to my state in all cases *except* for North Carolina?
 * Any help would be much appreciated.

 * I think you need to charge tax according to billing address, since this is the
   variable.
