• Hi. Is there any easy way to add target=”_blank” in social links.
They are external links and there is no choice from widgets area/customizer and also there is no hook in wp-content/themes/cenote/template-parts/menu/menu-social.php or function that can be overridden such other free themes?!

  • Hi @pexlechris,

    Thank you for writing in,

By default, the Cenote theme does not have the option to open the link in a new tab for the Social Icon. However, to get the result as you desired, you must activate the child theme. You can get knowledge about the child theme and download the Cenote child theme from the link here: https://themegrill.com/blog/tutorial-creating-wordpress-child-theme/

If you can code on your own then you can achieve it via the child theme.

I don’t want to override the whole template. This is not a good solution.
Please, in the next update include a function that can be overridden (by function_exists() function logic) or filter the returned html. 🙂

    Hi @pexlechris,

    Thank you for writing in,

We will need to consult with the developer team and if everything goes fine we’ll make sure to add it. However, for now, you can go with the child theme as suggested above.
