target ="_blank" treated as pop-ups (5 posts)

    Ive been using target="_blank" for all my outbound links but discovered recently that the browser is treating them as pop-ups! which is obviously causing problelms... ( ie warning before the links are clicked) i am assuming that a live update to my system may have caused this - and assume many people will also be experiencing this problem when they visit the site.

    So is there anyway round using _blank with out a pop-up warning or if not what do i do to get rid of all my target="_blank" without going in an editing each of the links bearing in mind that ive added target="_blank" manually...

    there isn't. MS announced ages ago that they've declared war against window openers. you might as well abandon the idea of opening links in new windows.

    OK thanx for the info.... question is now - how do i remove hundreds of target="_blank" without going and removing each and every one of them individually?

    i recall there is a find/replace plugin somewhere.
